Radio Charlotte is the evolution of what was originally Phantom Radio, an online Alternative Rock Radio Station streaming worldwide 24 hours a day. Phantom Radio was started in 2006 after Renn ended a 20 year career as an FM Radio DJ. It quickly grew a dedicated listener base in 80 countries around the world and won several awards including "Best Alternative Rock Station" in the 2007 Internet Radio Awards. Phantom Radio became Radio Charlotte in 2019 but the name lived on when the Phantom Radio Podcast was born.
